Central African Republic Flag

The flag of the Central African Republic was designed by Barthélemy Boganda, the first president of the Oubangui-Chari territory, who believed that “France and Africa must march together.” Thus he combined the French tricolor and the Pan-African colors. Adopted in 1958.
