Flag of Great Britain (King’s Colours)


The Great Britain flag is commonly referred to as the Union Jack or the Union Flag. Used as a maritime flag from 1606 to 1801, it became the national flag in 1707 when the Kingdom of Great Britain came into existence. This flag of Great Britain is commonly referred to as the “King’s Colours”. It bears a combination St. George’s Cross and St. Andrew’s Cross joined together.
