Jolly Roger Flag (Skull and Crossbones)


A Jolly Roger is the name that is traditionally used to identify any flag flown by pirates. During the golden age of piracy (1650s – 1720s), there were multiple variations of the Jolly Roger used by pirate captains but the flag that is most commonly used was the skull and crossbones on a black flag.
