Montana State Flag


The Montana state flag depicts a sunrise shining over mountains, waterfalls, the Missouri River, trees, and cliffs. Shown are three tools (a pick, a shovel, and a plow), which are symbols of Montana’s mining and farming history. Adopted in 1904. Statehood on November 8, 1889.
