Hometown Hero banner programs are becoming a popular way to remember and honor our military veterans. Their service and sacrifices over our history are remarkable and warrant the need to be recognized. They bring a sense of pride and nostalgia that rings throughout the town and consistently get rave reviews from the residents and visitors in all of the communities that we work with.
Display Sales has been around since 1966 and is seen as a leader in helping organizations with street beautification for many years. Our team has executed thousands of these projects and will be able to take you through a step-by-step process to ensure you get exactly what you’re looking for.
Often times, Hometown Hero projects are led by a member of the local VFW or American Legion with family members sponsoring the cost for the banner and hardware. In some cases, the projects are sponsored and funded by the city. Either way, we’ll work with any group that wants to honor their veterans.
The key to a successful Hometown Hero program is organization. The first step is to collect the photos of your active service members or veterans. From there, our in-house graphics team can advise on how to make them suitable for use on a large banner. The next step is to details about your service members. Commonly used information is name, rank, division, and branch. Display Sales provides a template that documents all these details.
Design selection is the final step. We have many designs to choose from that spotlight the service member along with messages such as “We Thank you for your service” or “Honoring our Heroes” and it’s all customizable. Check out some of our designs.
Once a design is selected, our graphic design team will create proofs of each individual banner for the client to review and approve. Once approvals are received, your order is put into production and printed.
